War of Mists Update
Dear Friends,
“The War of Mists” is developing apace. We have a final draft and, at the moment, my wife and I are going back and forth with it. She’s a stickler for grammar and very good at recognizing what works and what doesn’t in a story. She’s a voracious reader and can blow through one book the size of a “Deathly Hallows” in a day. So I’m doing my best to be smart and pay total attention to her feedback.
Next, I’ll be sending it off to Matthew Friedman who’ll be the first to see it on the review panel. He’s a very strong reader and writer with equally strong opinions and literary sense. So I’m both anxious and a little apprehensive. Needless to say, his feedback will be critical.
Then it’s off to everyone else on the review panel. I know a few of you on myspace are on it too. So Lee, Beth, Crea8tiveone, and Garret, I’m looking forward to your feedback!
Lee Stephen is the author of “Dawn of Destiny” the first in a rocking science fiction epic about an alien invasion. Beth Henkel is a former literary and art agent. Among those she’s represented is Mary Grandpre — artist for the famous “Harry Potter” series. Beth has some amazing experience developing creative works and I’m certain I’ll learn a huge amount from her. Equally important, Garrett and Crea8tiveone are both lovers of good stories and writing who have generously given their time to help develop “The War of Mists.”
Finally, we should have some more official announcements soon about the release date and when preorders will be made available.
Best to everyone!

That’s cool how you’ve got industry pros and fantasy fans on your panel. Mary Grandpre’s agent? Now that’s awesome!
Hurry up with “War of Mists!” Just read Luthiel’s Song and it’s the best book I’ve read in three years. I read a lot so that’s saying a lot!

Boy O’ boy, I can’t wait for this one. But wow, how did you manage to get someone like Mary Grandpe?! Thats pretty sweet. Man, when this book comes out I will be like, forget Myspace, New book.

For Forest –
Though actually have Mary Grandpre work on Luthiel’s Song would be an outstanding coupe, I need to clairify that it’s not Mary Grandpre, but Beth Henkel who is helping with the review panel. Beth was an art agent for Mary Grandpre before she did work for Harry Potter. Beth herself has a deep love for fantasy stories and is a very talented lady. I’m fortunate to have her help!

Ieeeeeeeee, how exciting! The place where you get your books printed may burst into flames from the energy of all of these people helping you and waiting with bated breath to get their hands on the finished product. I’m just as excited about this book as I was about The Deathly Hallows, and that’s saying a lot. Ha ha.

Yeah!! I can’t wait to get ‘War of the Mist’s! I’ve been waiting patiently for 3 month’s now?? (along with everyone else). LOL - hopefully we’ll have it in time for my trip to the mountains where I plan on building a lovely fire, making some hot cocoa & reading this new book with absolutely no distractions at all. And if not, well I’m always looking for an excuse to go to the mountains, so when I get it - I’ll just head back up there! You must be so thrilled to have everything be coming together finally. I’m delighted to hear that your wife is such an tremendous help too! No wonder you wrote, and are writing the female epic hero one book at a time, you’re surrounded by strong women everywhere ~
brightest blessings my friend ~

Well some of us have been waiting for almost two years. If you’ve only had to wait for three months, you’re lucky. I’ve read my book so much the cover is falling off!

Thats fantastic news Rob,
I am a late starter, I only finished Luthiels Song a fortnight ago, but I cannot wait for the next installment!
I’m not sure if it’s luck, coincidence or whether the beautiful little elf has powers of her own, but the future possibilities for my art and work have taken a huge leap since reading her story.
Luthiel has inspired and empowered me - Thank you x

Hi Nate ~ LOL, I guess I am VERY lucky to only be waiting 3 month’s for the next book - I just found Luthiel’s Song back in April of this year when I signed up for myspace. I completely understand waiting for ‘years’ for sequels to books though, Terry Goodkind made us all wait a good little while as did Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman. And we won’t even mention RA Salvatore with the Forgotten Realms! OMgoodness - but I’ve found each and every book entirely worth the wait and have worn the covers off of books too! I love reading books over & over - I always seem to find something new from them each & every time :)Aren’t you glad our wait is almost over!!
be blessed my friend ~ cre8tiveone

I don’t blame Rob at all. I know it takes a lot of work to put together a good book. In a way, I’ve been having a lot of fun anticipating “The War of Mists.” I get to imagine what will happen. I feel like I’ve become a part of Oesha.

For Raychel –
I’ve been fortunate to be inspired by Luthiel for most of my adult life. I sincerely hope the paths she takes you down are as varied and wonderous as the ones I’ve traveled with her! If you feel like sharing any of your Luthiel inspired work, I’d absolutely love to see.
